Domestic violence has very serious implications in regard to any dissolution process. If there is a finding of domestic violence of the physical kind, impact every part of your dissolution process. It will impact the type of visitation or custody that you have with your children and it will also have implications in regards to spousal support. If there is a finding of domestic violence there can be a restraining order imposed by the court up to a period of five years that will significantly hamper your ability to obtain or keep employment as well as other factors regarding the parenting that you may have with your children.
